13 Planets Decoded
The planets are not symbols.
They are delivery vehicles of programming. Each one casts its frequency into your chart, activating Law Keys and shaping how your energy moves through the world. True Sidereal restores their positions to the real sky the only calculation your body recognizes.

The Divine Chorus Flowing Through Us
The ancients mapped the planets to gods and goddesses… Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares, Zeus, Kronos, Ouranos, Poseidon, Hades. Their movements in the heavens were seen as divine actions, each one casting its frequency into the world.
In the bodygraph and mandala wheel, those same gods appear again as rulers, generals, and officers. This is not coincidence. It is coherence. The same intelligences that move the sky also govern the mechanics of our design. The macrocosm and the microcosm are one.
Humanity is not separate from the cosmos; we are its embodiment. When Genesis says, “Let US make man in OUR image,” it is not a solitary voice. It is the chorus of gods…Apollo’s torch, Artemis’ vessel, Hermes’ messenger, Aphrodite’s harmony, Hades’ descent…weaving humanity in their likeness.
The planets are their chariots in the heavens. The bodygraph is their temple within. To see this is to see the divine flowing through us all, shaping and ruling our lives.
What the Planets Actually Do
The Planets as Delivery Vehicles
In True Sidereal Human Design, the planets are not symbols or archetypes. They are mechanical carriers of programming, each one casting its frequency into your chart at two critical moments: the instant of your birth and the design imprint approximately 88 days before.
This programming activates specific Law Keys within your Nine Officers, defining which centers are switched on and how your energy moves through the world. The planets are the organs of the solar system, each delivering a distinct frequency into your design.
Unlike tropical astrology, which drifts away from the real sky, True Sidereal calculates planetary positions against the fixed star backdrop… the actual sky you were born under. This restores mechanical accuracy: the chart as the cosmos truly wrote it.
The 13 Planets in True Sidereal Human Design

- Personal Planets — Sun, Earth, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars. These move quickly and define your immediate, lived mechanics: life force, grounding, rhythms, communication, values, and drive.
- Outer Planets — Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. These move slowly and deliver the long‑arc programming of your life: expansion, calibration, mutation, mystic perception, and transformation.
- Nodes — North and South. They set the geometry of your path: where you are moving toward, and what you have already integrated.
- Chiron — The wound that becomes your medicine.
- Lilith — The wild truth that refuses conditioning.
Together, these 13 placements form the complete planetary decoding of your True Sidereal chart. They are not abstract ideas they are the mechanical forces shaping your lived experience.
The Sun — Torch of Revelation
Essence: Why the sun is the torch
The Sun is the torch of revelation. In the ancient Greek world it was Apollo’s chariot, the radiant fire that illuminates the heavens and sustains life. The Sun does not whisper or conceal; it shines into shadow, exposing what resists being seen.
Its meaning is not “truth” as later philosophers tried to define it truth is rootedness, steadfastness, the tree that stands firm. The Sun is different. It is light revealed: brightness, illumination, the torch that makes the hidden visible.
This is why the Sun is the dominant force in any chart. It is the carrier wave of personality, the fixed broadcast that defines presence. Wherever it sits, in any hexagram or center, the Sun’s essence is unchanged: it is always illumination, always exposure, always the torch.
Living Example: My Chart
To make this real, I use my own chart as the example corridor.
- Design Sun: Hexagram 64, Line 6, Head Center (Apollo), Quarter of Duality, under Aphrodite + Harmonia. Here the Sun is a torch shining into the cave of confusion. It broadcasts unfinished harmony, pressing others to confront contradictions in their bonds and relationships.
- Personality Sun: Hexagram 5, Line 4, Sacral Center (Dionysus), Quarter of Mutation, under Hades + Prometheus. Here the Sun is a torch beating with rhythm. It broadcasts patience, illuminating the natural law of timing and cycles, stabilizing others until the spark of mutation arrives.
Two different expressions, one mental and one bodily, but both are Apollo’s torch doing its work: shining light into shadow, revealing what is hidden.
Solution: The Universal Meaning
The solution is simple and powerful: the Sun is always the torch of revelation. Each hexagram colors the message.. confusion, patience, rhythm, harmony but the essence is unchanged. My chart is the living example, showing how the Sun broadcasts differently in Head and Sacral.
For those with different placements, you can explore the Ancient I Ching to trace your own hexagram story and see how your Sun shines its torch.
